The World Infrastructure Forum (WIF) exists to:
- Create shared understanding of the systemic challenges reshaping infrastructure globally
- Bridge silos between academia, industry, finance, technology, multilaterals and policy‑makers
- Anticipate disruption, rather than react to it
- Develop common principles, frameworks and narratives for next‑generation infrastructure
- Enable alignment and collaboration among actors with decision‑making power
WIF fosters informed alignment: understanding interdependencies, trade-offs and risks, and creating the conditions to act collectively in anticipation of disruption.
Universities and multilateral institutions play a central role as neutral conveners and long-term thinkers, while industry and financial actors contribute real-world constraints, innovation capacity and implementation experience.
